About Ted:

– “Ted” is a brand new prequel series to the popular “Ted” films, hitting Peacock on January 11, 2024! It takes us back to 1993, way before Ted’s rise to fame and John’s midlife crisis. Here’s what you can expect:

A Nostalgic Trip to Framingham: We ditch the glitz of Hollywood and head back to John’s childhood home in working-class Framingham, Massachusetts. Picture cozy bedrooms, vintage decor, and maybe even a glimpse of a bulky tube TV.

Ted: Not Quite a Celebrity, Still a Troublemaker: Remember that mischievous, foul-mouthed teddy bear? He’s back, but without the paparazzi and movie deals. Prepare for plenty of shenanigans as Ted navigates the world of middle school alongside John, probably causing chaos wherever they go.

John’s Teenage Adventures: Before Lori and the adulthood struggles, John’s just a 16-year-old trying to figure it all out. We’ll see him dealing with school woes, first crushes, and maybe even the occasional existential crisis, all with Ted by his side (and probably offering unhelpful advice).

The Bennett Family in Full Force: Get ready to meet John’s parents, Matty and Susan, who have their hands full with a teenage son and a talking teddy bear. Expect some classic family moments, mixed with the occasional exasperated sigh at Ted’s antics.

Blaire Enters the Scene: John’s college-aged cousin, Blaire, adds a fresh perspective to the mix. She’s smart, sassy, and probably won’t hesitate to call Ted out on his BS. Think of her as the voice of reason, with a healthy dose of sarcasm.

A Prequel with Heart: While there will be laughs galore (it’s Ted, after all!), “Ted” also promises heartwarming moments as we explore the deep bond between John and Ted, and the challenges they face growing up together.

So, if you’re looking for a nostalgic blast of 90s vibes, some classic Ted humor, and a heartwarming story about friendship and growing up, “Ted” is definitely worth checking out on Peacock! Let’s just hope John’s parents are ready for the ride.
