Hello, please i need to find a song. That was a piece of choral music played to accompany the last scene in The Sixth Commandment. Wonderful music, especially the bass singers, on Episode 4.
Anyone knows?
Why is Tchaikovsky’s “Hymn of the Cherubim” which is used as the opening credits in Episode 1, the funeral scene in Episode 3 and the end credits in episode 4 not credited in music listings?
Was wondering that myself. And used to such heartbreaking effect, particularly at the end.
4. Requiem: Sequenz – Lacrimosa – Andreas Delfs, Anton Armstrong, St. Olaf Choir & The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra
The music played played at the beginning of Episode 4 which the Barrister is listening to us not the one listed above.
Anyone know what it is?
I think it was the Pergolesi Stabat Mater.
Hello Anna,
At the beginning , I recognise the music as, Stabat Mater by Pergolesi.
I also wondered why this is not listed and wanted to learn of the music at the closing credits.
Hope we are both the wiser.
Hello. Is it possible to know whether the Youtube links above are representative of the actual versions of the pieces listed above, that are used in the series?
I.e., Tchaikovsky’s Hymn of the Cherubim: The Amazon link is a generic search; and the Youtube and iTunes links resolve to different versions (the version on the iTunes link is not even exclusively choral; it’s an orchestral arrangement).
Thank you, Ben
Hello there,
Just seen Episode 4 – wow!
I was wondering if anyone knew what the Organ Music was at 30:50-32:02?
Thank-you
